Dr. Judy Wine is a Speech Language Pathologist who has specialized in the field of AAC for many years. In the early 1970s she was a member of the multidisciplinary team in Toronto, Canada which adapted Blissymbols to serve as a graphic communication system for persons who were non-speaking. She was a Founding member of ISAAC (international) and the Founder of ISAAC-ISRAEL. She has received the ISAAC Distinguished Service Award and is an ISAAC Fellow. Today Judy is a staff member of the Omer Center for AAC and IT in Israel; she serves as the communication consultant on the multidisciplinary advisory team of the Israeli Rett Syndrome Center, and she has her own private practice.
